Dedicated to the memory of Bridie Willis

This site is a tribute to Bridie Willis, who was born in Ballyhooly, County Cork, Ireland, on May 25, 1934. Bridie relocated to England in the late 50s with her husband, Sean, where they began a new life and started their family.

Bridie was a much loved wife to Sean of 64 years; Mum to Josephine, James and John; Grandma to Robert, Chris, Anna, Aidan, Sam, Sean, Alex and Gina; and Great Grandma to Rowan.

Bridie was sadly diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in November 2022. Unfortunately, she was not able to be cured of this cancer, so all that was available was control of these symptoms.

Bridie was admitted to St Luke’s on 12th January 2023 and ended up staying for over 9 weeks. Bridie received the most professional and loving care. During her stay, so much time and consideration was given to Bridie and her family, the hospice became a home from home.

St Luke’s Hospice help people in Brent and Harrow to have the best possible quality of life despite living with serious illnesses, which are no longer curable.

St Luke’s receive around 30% of their funding needed for their care from the NHS and the rest is raised from the amazing generosity of the organisations and people who make their care possible.

Bridie stated that she would like any money raised in her memory to go towards St Luke’s Hospice to carry on all the fantastic work that they do which is so important. We as a family would love it if as much money could be raised as possible in Bridie’s memory.

Bridie will be remembered for her faith, her wisdom, her strength, her kindness and her love.

She is much loved and will be missed every day by dear family and friends ❤️
